Student Level: Introduction.  No skills required, just a desire to be in water. This water workshop is for puppy or small dog owners who would like to learn more about Canine Water Sports and expose their puppy/dog to a fun and safe water environment for social and physical enrichment.

Course Description: The goal of this course is to create water fun that builds canine confidence and joy. This is a good class for those who want a weekly opportunity to expose their puppy or small dog to a fun and safe water environment;  improve water attraction; foster the desire to swim; and improves canine swim skills. Discussions will include:  watersports equipment,  water safety and the benefits of a canine lifejacket,  canine health tips before and after water exposure, and recognizing signs of canine stress and fatigue. When and how to reinforce canine water exploration, curiosity and playfulness will also be an important part of this course. Intro to smooching, duckling and island hoping (water targeting games).
