Student Level: Beginners.  Open to teams who have completed the Groundwork workshop.

Course Description: This workshop will help handlers establish a reliable canine alert indication in and around water.  Discussions will include how scent travels and collects within a given environment and how a handler’s attention to canine body language can expedite learning. Handlers will benefit from watching each other’s dog problem solve a scent search while Instructor Marjorie Lineweber discusses the environment and each dog’s display of persistence, frustration, intensity and hunting style.
