Lisa Norris

Watersports Judge

Lisa has been involved with training animals all of her life.  She began her partnership with animals working with horses in the hunter/jumper rings and rehabbing retired racehorses, teaching riding lessons as well as training terriers and barn dogs along the way.

In 1998, she became active in Dog Agility & Clicker training and traded her reins for a leash and hasn't looked back since.  She's been teaching Clicker training, Agility since 2001 near Albany & Kingston New York. Her dogs, two Boston Terriers, don't know they're supposed to be Non-Sporting and successfully compete in Masters level agility and have run in numerous national and regional events.  Pandora became the 1st Boston ever to attain USDAA National Top Ten Masters Agility rankings in 2001 through 2007. Lisa and Pandora joined CWS in 2002 for Water
Training and were hooked from the first splash!  Pandora became the first Boston and first Mini-dog titled in CWS Water work. Lisa's dog Mr. Peabody soon joined the swim and developed a love of surfing. Applying Clicker training and Positive motivation, Lisa guides handlers and dogs of all types to learn the FUNdamentals of Water sports, Including Team Swim, Towing, Delivery, Retrieving, Boating and more.

In 2005 Lisa was deployed to post-Katrina New Orleans where she served for 8 months temperament testing feral and fractious dogs and rehabbing them to human contact.  Lisa now calls Florida home as she is still on call with Best Friends and happy to have beaches close to home.

Lisa is a USDAA Agility  Judge  and was one of the first judges appointed by

Canine Water Sports to judge watersports.
